Mossberg, Carr, and Arrington discuss the iPad with Charlie Rose
Moss Waltberg, David Carr, and Michael Arrington talk with Charlie Rose about the iPad. I agree. I think, like PC Magazine said, Stevie is ushering in a “Third Revolution” insofar as this is device that is neither netbook, notebook, laptop, smart phone, nor PC but something unto its own. It’s like a little entertainment center that connects to the web. (Still needs a camera. And USB port?) Not incorporating Flash is problematic but Jobs is apparently looking to HTML5 to make Flash as archaic as floppy disks. Remember when he started producing Macs with no floppy drives? That was before there were jump drives, at least how I remember it, for Macs. The solution was purchasing an accessory floppy drive, which, for my part, was not a happy solution. Or burning everything on a CD. Steve is likely pushing HTML5 forward. Too bad Adobe hasn’t kept up. They used to be a quality and innovation leader.
